After a 19-7 win over Dallas in the first preseason game, the 49ers are looking to see what more of the players can do in the second game against the Denver Broncos. San Francisco is going to expand the amount of players that they will be showcasing, unlike what they did in the first game.

And because of this, there are plenty more players to keep an eye on with this upcoming preseason game. From players that played last week to guys getting a taste of preseason action for the first time, there's a lot to look forward to seeing from the 49ers.

So here are the three 49ers players to watch in preseason Week 2 against the Broncos.

3. WR Kendrick Bourne

Bourne is fighting for the sixth receiver spot on the team with Richie James and veteran Jordan Matthews. After the first week of the preseason, he's finding himself behind James for that spot. James came away with six catches for 31 yards on seven targets. Bourne only had one catch for 14 yards on three targets.

If he wants to keep his place on the team, he needs to make the most out of the opportunity that's in front of him. Especially with Trent Taylor being out with an injury for some time.

If Bourne can come through with a strong performance much like Jalen Hurd did against the Cowboys, then it should catapult him back into favor with the coaches. If not, then he'll need to work that much harder in the final two weeks.

2. EDGE Solomon Thomas

Thomas has had an uphill battle after his 2018 offseason. He's dealt a lot with working on his mental health and getting back to where he needs to be as a third overall pick in his third year. And the best way to show that is by impressing in the upcoming preseason game.

Thomas underwhelmed in his sophomore campaign as a pass rusher. He came away with only one sack and was noticeably struggling with his play when he was on the field. Now that he's taken time to work on his issues, he'll be much better and focused on getting to where he needs to be.

Everyone in San Francisco is hoping for him to turn things around and what better way of providing a sign that he has than with a strong preseason game against the Broncos?

1. QB Jimmy Garoppolo

Would anyone else be number one on this list than the team's starting quarterback? Especially one that's still trying to prove the hype around him and what he can do in his second attempt at a full season of play?

Garoppolo is making his preseason debut this week after being sat out with the rest of the 49ers that are safe from being cut. However, it would be great for the fans in San Francisco to see where their quarterback is after rehabbing his torn ACL. From what people have been hearing from him in training camp, there have been some ups and some downs.

As much as some fans want to look too much into training camp, let's see how he does in his first preseason game of the year. Hopefully there aren't any consecutive interceptions thrown against the Broncos.
