Buffalo Bills running back Frank Gore is an institution. He currently has the fourth-most rushing yards in history, behind all-time greats Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, and Walter Payton. Throughout his career, Gore has certainly made an impression on his teammates. Former San Fransisco 49ers guard Alex Boone spoke out about Gore when he appeared on the Purple Daily podcast. He also had some choice words for former teammate Adrian Peterson, but that's beside the point.

Boone's high praise for Gore comes as no surprise. Throughout his time in the NFL, teammates from 49ers, Indianapolis, and Miami all have legendary Gore stories. Most of these involve Gore spending a ridiculous amount of time in the weight room and on the practice field after hours.

Clearly, whatever Gore is doing is working pretty well. This past summer, he outdueled two young running backs who were vying for the starting job in Buffalo. TJ Yeldon and Devin Singletary both failed to beat out the ageless wonder, and Gore still has a firm hold on the job. The former Miami Hurricane is currently averaging 4.5 yards per carry, a clip that is better than all but eight starting running backs. He may not have his old-school explosiveness anymore, but Gore is certainly deserving of his job.

While he still manages to play quality football, the end of the line has to be coming soon for Gore. When he does decide to hang up the cleats, he'll be an easy Hall of Fame selection after his illustrious career.
