Week 5 “Monday Night Football” should be a tad more interesting than the 0-3 Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the 0-3 Cincinnati Bengals. The 3-0 San Francisco 49ers are hosting the 2-2 Cleveland Browns.

San Francisco's competition on Monday night is warranting his fair share of praise. 49ers pass-rushers are looking forward to facing quarterback Baker Mayfield

No. 2 overall pick Nick Bosa — who once called Mayfield “Tate Martell on steroids” — is excited to play the quarterback he sacked, but lost to, as a sophomore.

“People like to say he’s a backyard quarterback. I just think he’s a good quarterback,” Bosa said, via Cam Inman of Mercury News. “He does extend plays, defensive backs have to stick on their receivers, and our job is to keep him in the pocket and get Buck (DeForest Buckner) and (Arik) Armstead to block his view.”

Ford, on the other hand, is dealing with injuries. The 2018 Pro Bowler and former Chief is dealing with lingering knee pain and is questionable. However, it sounds like he will play, despite the challenge Mayfield presents.

“It’s more work I’ve got to do to get to him, but we’ll get to him,” Ford said. “It’ll be fun.”

Mayfield sits at eighth in the NFL in passing yards (1,147) and 24th in touchdowns (four) and has earned high praise from opposers. However, this week's challenge isn't a shaky Baltimore Ravens defense. The 49ers — in large part because of Bosa and Ford — are third in yards allowed per game (283.3), eighth in points (18), fourth in completion percentage (57.1) and notched nine sacks and five interceptions in three games.
