Giannis Antetokounmpo is widely expected to sign what is reportedly going to be a record-breaking max extension with the Milwaukee Bucks as early as this coming offseason. The reigning league MVP has already committed himself to the Bucks on several occasions, and Milwaukee have likewise indicated their intention to offer their cornerstone superstar as much money as they possibly can.

Nevertheless, this has not stopped teams from testing the waters. Several sides have been linked to Giannis of late, under the premise that he somehow opts not to sign an extension with the Bucks. For Milwaukee, this would obviously be a disaster of catastrophic proportions. The only way they can salvage this is by trading Antetokounmpo in the offseason. This is anything but an ideal situation, but that is the only way they can get some value from him as opposed to Antetokounmpo walking away as an unrestricted free agent in 2021.

Today we have come up with a number of plausible trade packages that the Bucks should consider if their backs are pushed against the wall.

Golden State Warriors

Trade offer: Andrew Wiggins, Eric Pashcall, 2020 First-Round Pick, 2021 First-Round Pick

The Warriors have emerged as the team with the highest odds of landing Antetokounmpo should he become available. He's not going to come for cheap, and the Warriors will pretty much have to forgo their future to land Giannis.

Andrew Wiggins is still just 25 and has a ton of basketball ahead of him. Eric Pashcall is a tremendous prospect. Golden State's 2020 pick is projected to be the first overall, so Milwaukee can bring on 7-foot-1 phenom James Wiseman. In terms of a full revamp, this is the way to go for the Bucks.

We'd like to think that if Giannis does decide to turn his back on the Bucks, then Golden State is going to be his most likely destination. This move would put the Warriors dynasty back in full swing, after just a season in hiatus.

Toronto Raptors

Trade offer: Kyle Lowry, OG Anunoby, Serge Ibaka/Fred VanVleet, 2020 First-Round Pick

The Raptors have also been linked to a potential Giannis coup this offseason. Team general manager Masai Ujiri will play a huge role here, and he will need to pull out all the stops — like he has done in the past — to get this deal done.

This come in the form of veteran point guard Kyle Lowry, OG Anunoby, and their 2020 first-round pick (expected to be in the late 20's). That's not enticing enough, however, and they will likely need to convince either Serge Ibaka or Fred VanVleet — both of whom will become unrestricted free agents in the offseason — to agree to a sign-and-trade deal. Even that might not be enough for the Bucks.

As with any other theoretical deal listed here, the Bucks will also need to throw in a player or two just to make the salaries match.

Philadelphia 76ers

Trade offer: Joel Embiid, Josh Richardson, Matysse Thybulle

This one is a blockbuster deal waiting to happen with the Bucks and Sixers. The relationship between Joel Embiid and the Sixers is no longer as amicable today as it were a year or so ago. Philly's front office appear to be seriously considering pulling the plug on the Embiid-Ben Simmons pairing, and there is not better replacement than Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks get a cornerstone star in return, while also adding a versatile Josh Richardson, and one of the best young defenders in the league in Matysse Thybulle.

Boston Celtics

Trade offer: Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart

The Celtics have likewise been mentioned as a potential destination for Giannis. Boston does not have any picks to offer, so they will need to give up some of their key pieces to bring Antetokounmpo to Beantown from the Bucks.

Jayson Tatum is as untouchable as one can get, so Jaylen Brown is the only next logical choice. The C's will need to also throw in former All-Star Gordon Hayward, and perhaps the tenacious Marcus Smart as well. In this scenario, the Bucks will build around Brown as their centerpiece for the next few years.

Miami Heat

Trade offer: Jimmy Butler, Kendrick Nunn, Tyler Herro

Two words: Pat Riley.

This is not exactly a trade proposition that is highly feasible, but it certainly isn't impossible — especially with Riley at the helm. Butler re-found his outstanding form in Miami, and he will likely be able to bring this with him to Milwaukee as the team's new alpha dog. The prize here is the combination of Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Herro, who stand out as the two of the most promising youngsters in the NBA today. Similar to the Warriors deal, this sets up the Bucks for a complete squad overhaul, with the option to build around their newly-acquired prospects.
