With Kawhi Leonard officially making his monumental decision to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, NBA free agency has effectively come to a close.

It has certainly been a wild few weeks, a period which really began last month when the Los Angeles Lakers swung a deal to acquire Anthony Davis in a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans.

So, like we all do after every free agency period, it's time to pick the five biggest winners of free agency (and yes, trades are included).

5. Indiana Pacers

The Pacers replaced Thaddeus Young and Bojan Bogdanovic with T.J. Warren and Malcolm Brogdon, and so long as Warren and Brogdon stay healthy (which has been an issue for both players), that is an upgrade.

Warren is a very underrated two-way player, and we saw the type of season Brogdon just had in Milwaukee.

It's also important to note  that Indiana landed Jeremy Lamb on a really good deal.

Malcolm Brogdon, Victor Oladipo, Pacers

If Victor Oladipo can come back 100 percent (or close to it), the Pacers may very well be the best team in the Eastern Conference now that the Toronto Raptors have lost Leonard.

Indiana still has some depth issues, as it lost numerous role players and bench pieces, but the Pacers should have a really scary starting lineup and a whole lot of defensive versatility. This was the most productive NBA free agency period that the Pacers have had in a long time.

4. Los Angeles Lakers

Yes, the Lakers missed out on Kawhi, and that certainly puts a damper on things, but we can't just ignore the fact that they traded for Davis, giving themselves a duo of LeBron James and AD.

You also have to like Los Angeles' signing of Danny Green, as the Lakers desperately needed a shooter and they went out and got one.

Lakers, Danny Green, LeBron James, Anthony Davis

Of course, the Leonard situation really burned this team, as it cost them the opportunity to go out and land more significant pieces, but with James, Davis, Kyle Kuzma and pieces like Green, DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo, the Lakers have to like where they are.

Los Angeles will still have some depth issues, and it still does need more perimeter shooting, but the Lakers should certainly be better than they were this past year.

3. Utah Jazz

The Jazz went from having one guy who can consistently create his own shot to now having three of them.

Utah not only traded for Mike Conley last month, but it then went out and signed the aforementioned Bogdanovic, who showed out for Indiana in Oladipo's absence this past season.

Pacers, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jazz

So, the Jazz's offense now consists of Donovan Mitchell, Conley and Bogdanovic along with all-around threat Joe Ingles and supreme lob finisher Rudy Gobert. Talk about a big step up from the last two years.

And yes, Utah had to lose Derrick Favors in all of this, but the Jazz were able to sign Ed Davis to somewhat cushion the blow.

The Jazz may very well be a top three team in the Western Conference right now after a huge offseason in NBA free agency.

2. Brooklyn Nets

I was wavering between the Nets and the Jazz for this spot, but I simply can't list Brooklyn any lower than second for the simple fact that it landed both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Nets

Obviously, there are a lot of question marks here. Durant is going to miss all of next season, and we really don't know how he is going to come back from his torn Achilles the following year. There is also the issue that Irving has historically presented in locker rooms.

But we have to give it up to Sean Marks for landing two of the marquee free agents while also signing DeAndre Jordan and making small moves like trading for Taurean Prince and adding pieces such as Wilson Chandler for some depth.

The Nets are two years away from showing us who they really are, so this upcoming season is essentially a bridge year, but Brooklyn has gone from a laughingstock to a legitimate threat, and that alone is enough to merit this spot on this list.

1. Los Angeles Clippers

Which brings us to the most obvious answer of all.

Paul George, Clippers

The Clippers not only signed Leonard, but they traded for Paul George and brought back Patrick Beverley, giving Los Angeles possibly the most lethal defense in recent memory. Seriously: Leonard, George, Beverley, and Montrezl Harrell. That is beyond terrifying.

Oh, and Los Angeles brought back JaMychal Green for some much-needed front-court depth, which is absolutely huge and puts the cherry on top of yet another masterful offseason for Jerry West.

With all of these moves, the Clippers have instantly become the favorites to win the NBA title, as they have the best player in the league, a ridiculous defense that can switch anything and everything and solid perimeter shooting.

I will say that Los Angeles can still use some depth, but hopefully, guys like Jerome Robinson step up off the bench, and let's remember that Landry Shamet was a very pleasant surprise in LA this past season and is still around.

Really, this Clippers squad has it all.
