After close to two decades, Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi has made his way back in a Star Wars series that recently premiered on Disney+. With it comes a two-episode premiere that offers an exciting look at the period between the Empire's rise and the destruction of the first Death Star in a New Hope. But even with all the excitement and nostalgia it brings, there are several details that need to be resolved as soon as possible.

We take a deep dive down below at the most important questions this new Star Wars series must answer.

5 burning questions Obi-Wan Kenobi must answer

Did Reva really kill the Grand Inquisitor?

Right before Obi-Wan made his timely escape with Leia, Reva was about to corner the old Jedi and capture him. As this happened, the Grand Inquisitor appeared and ordered the Third Sister to stand down so he can capture Kenobi himself. All of a sudden, Reva ignited her lightsaber and stabbed her superior with it.

Of course, one would think that the Grand Inquisitor would have died on the spot. The thing is, his death actually occurred in Star Wars: Rebels when he faced Kanan and Ezra in season one. Factoring in this detail and it seems that the disciple of the Dark Side's appearance on Obi-Wan Kenobi isn't over yet.

Before the show wraps up on Disney+, there should be an explanation of how the Grand Inquisitor survived Reva's treacherous act. Surely, a character as popular as he is deserved more than his apparent treatment seen in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

How did Reva know Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker?

During the same scene Reva was pursuing Kenobi, the Imperial inquisitor promised to deliver the former Jedi master to Darth Vader herself. Not content with that taunt, she went further by revealing that Anakin Skywalker is alive and subtly hinted that he has become a full-fledged Dark Lord of the Sith.

That revelation caused Obi-Wan's guilt of killing his former apprentice to transform into something else. With this development, it's expected that the former Jedi will seek out Darth Vader to learn the truth of what happened after their encounter in Mustafar.

But before that could happen, it should be known how Reva herself knew this sensitive piece of information about Darth Vader's true identity. It stands to reason that the discovery of Skywalker's survival and transformation into Darth Vader can somehow undermine the Empire's integrity and reputation across the whole universe.

That, and Vader's personality won't really allow this detail to go unnoticed without any repercussions involved. It remains to be seen whether the Dark Lord of the Sith or his master, Emperor Palpatine, will act on Reva knowing Vader's secret.

Will we see more of Young Leia?

Without a doubt, the true MVP of the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi is a young Leia Organa. Her spunky demeanor, coupled with a wisdom well beyond her years, forebodes the young princess' role in future films and mirrors Padme Amidala's radiant life in her. The question, though, is will Star Wars fans see more of her in future Obi-Wan Kenobi episodes?

While it's only prudent to see the old Jedi help her return to Bail and Breha Organa in episode three, it would seem her part in the story is as good as done. Since Kenobi has learned of Anakin's survival, the old Jedi will do what he can to confirm Reva's revelation to him. This will result in that long-awaited reunion between master and apprentice, a development that won't have any need for a young Leia Organa to appear anymore. Safe to say, the young princess won't be appearing outside of her rescue by Obi-Wan.

Will Luke Skywalker appear?

While young Leia got a lot of screen time during the first two episodes, all Star Wars fans got from Luke is a short cameo from afar. Although the story will progress toward Obi-Wan confronting Darth Vader, will there be a point in the series where we'll see the old Jedi face to face with the young Skywalker?

In the event this meeting does happen, it can establish a relationship between the two, one that was briefly mentioned in A New Hope. But with Owen Lars being the protective uncle that he is, fans can expect the potential meeting between the two to be a short one.

How will Obi-Wan Kenobi change from being a cynic to who he is in A New Hope?

The Obi-Wan fans saw during the first two episodes was so far from the one we got from the prequel films, and even the wise Jedi master from the original trilogy. Instead, we got the cynic and disgruntled individual who has given up all hope after the Jedi Order has been decimated by the Empire.

This begs the question of how this version of Obi-Wan Kenobi will progress from his pessimistic self to the one who'll eventually meet Luke and inspire him to become a Jedi himself? For sure, there'll be a reason for Kenobi to move past his guilt of killing Anakin. When that happens, his character will certainly progress to become wiser as the series leads to the original trilogy films.
