The city of Las Vegas recently held a wild parade to celebrate the Las Vegas Aces' second straight WNBA championship, and amidst the excitement, star guard Kelsey Plum made a bold championship promise.

“We're just going to keep coming back, and everyone hates it,” Plum confidently declared during the championship celebration, as captured in a video posted by KTNV Channel 13.

The declaration sets the stage for what could potentially become a remarkable dynasty in women's professional basketball.

On October 18th, the Aces etched their names into the annals of WNBA history by clinching their second consecutive championship, making them the third WNBA team to ever do so. The last time a team achieved this feat was 21 years ago when the Los Angeles Sparks won in 2001 and 2002.

Plum's championship promise didn't stand alone. A’ja Wilson, the WNBA Finals MVP and Plum's teammate, passionately echoed Plum’s feelings, stating, “We're coming back. We're going to this (expletive) again,” as reported by Mark Anderson of the Associated Press.

By all accounts, it does seem like the Aces have the makings of a dynasty. The team won a record 34 games during the regular season and owner Mark Davis has not been shy about opening his wallet for the team.

Since purchasing the team three years ago, Davis, who also owns the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, poached Becky Hammon from the NBA on a $1 million year contract and spent $40 million on a state of the art practice facility that is the first women-specific, unshared training facility in the league’s 27 year history, via Byran Armen Graham of The Guardian.

The team’s core four of Kelsey Plum, A'ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young are also all under contract through next season, setting the team up to have a chance to fulfill Plum's promise and go for a three-peat.
