Advance Wars is making its long-awaited return on the Nintendo Switch. Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is a remake of the original Advance Wars games on the Game Boy Advance. With updated visuals and sound design, Re-Boot Camp will take a lot of COs down memory lane.

Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Release Date: December 3, 2021

The Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp release date was first announced during Nintendo Direct at E3 2021. An announcement trailer showed off the new visuals of the game, as well as the updated soundtrack. The trailer ended with the release date for the game: December 3, 2021.

As the name suggests, Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp features two campaigns. The game will also feature the five different factions, Orange Star, Blue Moon, Yellow Comet, Green Earth, and Black Hole. Each faction has its own COs with their own specialties. Each specialty come in the form of passive bonuses as well as powerful ultimate abilities. Up to four players can also battle at the same time in online multiplayer games.

While Intelligent Systems, the long-running developers for the series, won't be working on this game, WayForward is more than enough to take care of this remake. After all, Intelligent Systems is currently too busy with the new WarioWare: Get It Together! game. WayForward has its own diverse set of titles on its portfolio, so fans unfamiliar with the studio should not worry. It's also reassuring that the franchise is returning to its golden age, letting go of the edgy Days of Ruin.

You can pre-order the game now on the Nintendo eShop.
