Forbidden Door is almost upon us and fans of AEW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and independent wrestling as a whole are hyped.

The card is (mostly) set, the vast majority of the stars are booked, and for the price $49.99, fans will get to watch it all from the comforts of their own home – unless, of course, you just so happen to be one of the lucky fans who secured a ticket to the most exciting card of the year.

Will it succeed? Will Forbidden Door live up to expectations and go down as the best card of the year, or will fans instead find the actual product disproportionately valued to the hype, where even a wonderful show won't hit the level some folks expect?

Either way, Tony Khan and NJPW booker Gedo are apparently already discussing the prospects of Forbidden Door 2, at least according to the man himself during his pre-Forbidden Door media availability. While there aren't any more details on the event, from whether or not it becomes a yearly show to where the show could be held next, the very idea of another Forbidden Door card is incredibly intriguing, to say the least.

Why? Well, just think about all of the dream matches that are be just over the horizon; Kenny Omega versus Okada in a six-star stateside match, Kenny Omega versus Will Ospreay, the wrestler he was smack talking in an interview with Sean Ross Sapp, heck, there are about a half-dozen matches fans would pay big money to see with just Kenny Omega, let alone matches like Tanahashi versus Chris Jericho or even “Hangman” Adam Page versus Tetsuya Naito, who isn't on the card as of the time of publication. Buckle up friends, this is going to be good.
