Marco Verratti's fate with Qatar is expected to be sealed soon. Due to an unclear future, the European champion hasn't been with the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) squad. Qatar's Al Arabi are the frontrunners for the signature of Verratti in this window.

According to the reports from Fabrizio Romano, Al Arabi are expected to seal the transfer of Verratti by next week. The Italian midfielder wasn't seen in Doha this week but is preparing to travel there soon. The agreement has already been reached with PSG 10 days ago for a fee close to €45/50m. However, the representatives of PSG and Al Arabi are expected to sit again for the final clarifications from the player's representatives.

PSG manager Luis Enrique dropped Verratti alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the first Ligue 1 game due to an unclear future. Neymar sealed his move to Saudi Pro League's Al Hilal, whereas Mbappe was integrated back into the first-team squad. However, Verratti still remains a massive question mark for PSG as he continues to train alone without getting picked.

Perhaps he has already been informed by the PSG hierarchy that he is not in Enrique's plans. Verratti has made 276 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG in his career, making 49 goal contributions. He has also registered three goals and nine assists in the Champions League with the Ligue 1 champions. The Italian midfielder has won nine Ligue 1 titles, nine French Super Cups, and one Champions League final.

Alongside Verratti, striker Hugo Ekitike is also expected to be out of the first-team plans. PSG have been frustrated by him for denying the move to Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.
