The Chicago Sky have a major game on Saturday, and the team's young star has some major shoes to wear for it. The Sky's rookie Angel Reese is wearing Barbie-themed basketball sneakers for a contest Saturday against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

The shoes are pretty amazing. They are Reeboks, in pink with the name Barbie written on the very front. The multi-colored sneakers also have a Barbie logo on them and have been decorated with black dots. Sky fans are certainly hoping these shoes bring their star player good luck in one of the most highly-anticipated games of the WNBA season.

Reese and the Sky are 3-3 on the season. The rookie is making an impact with her team, with only a few WNBA games under her belt. The forward is averaging nearly a double-double, with 11 points and 8 rebounds a game. She has started every game for the Sky this season. Reese is hardly playing as a rookie, as she is only averaging two turnovers a contest this year. Her ball handling and shooting are lifting Chicago to a spot as the fourth best team in the Eastern Conference, and the seventh overall spot in the league at time of writing.

Reese has shown great interest in merging her love for basketball with her love for clothes and fashion. The Sky star appeared at the Met Gala in New York earlier this year, in a stunning sea green dress. She also recently landed her first fashion campaign, soon after her gala appearance. It appears that shoes are her next area of great interest. Reese is working with Reebok to design her own shoe, and it seems the Barbie sneakers are a taste of what is to come.

“I like how they’re rebranding everything and they’re letting me be the creator behind everything I want to do,” Reese said, per The Sporting News. “So I’m having my own shoe line coming out, merch with my name on it … Y’all like what I wear, y’all like how I dress, y’all like my style. I wanted to incorporate that into Reebok.”

It's been an incredible last few years for Reese. Not only did she win a national championship in college basketball at LSU, she also was a first round WNBA Draft pick. She is now building up her business brand, and her play on the basketball court hasn't wavered in spite of all the changes. The sky seems to be the limit for Reese, no pun intended.

The Sky and the Fever take to the court Saturday at 12:00 Eastern. The Fever are 1-8 on the season. Time will tell if Caitlin Clark also decides to wear some special shoes for this exciting matchup.
