At one point in the season, it seemed as if Barcelona was heading towards its worst campaign in decades. But within mere months, Barca manager Xavi Hernandez has transformed the club from the inside out.

It was just a few months ago that Barcelona was projected to finish the season outside of the top-four in La Liga and also to once again go trophyless. At the moment, Barca holds third place in the league standings and is in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League competition.

Sergio Busquets sees that the turnaround from Barca under Xavi has been due to multiple notable factors, which he opened up about to RAC1’s “Tu Diras” program.

“I think it has been an accumulation of things, of which he is an important part,” Busquets said of Barca under Xavi. “He has given a day, confidence. He has worked hard, especially the first few days. Nobody should think that it was easy. There were many players who did not know this idea.

“It has been a lot of work, training, watching videos, trying to improve. In the end, he succeeded. Injured players have also recovered and new signings have come in. Besides, in the end, when you win everything is much easier.”

Xavi’s work sure has paid off so far, as he has revamped Barca's style of play on both sides of the ball.

Barcelona will return to action with the upcoming La Liga fixture against Sevilla.
