The Chicago Bears are preparing for a Week 16 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Already down backup quarterback Andy Dalton, the Bears got an update on rookie Justin Fields that will make fans nervous for their Week 16 contest with the Seahawks.

Uh oh. So, Bears quarterback Andy Dalton, dealing with a groin injury, has already been ruled out. Rookie and starter Justin Fields, who started off the week with a limited practice, was sidelined for Thursday's and Friday's session, leaving him doubtful for the game against the Seahawks.

That means that Nick Foles will start for the Bears in Week 16 against the Seahawks. Foles was last seen on the field for Chicago during the 2020 season, when he was involved in a quarterback controversy with then-Bears signal-caller Mitchell Trubisky.

Foles went 2-5 as the starter for the Bears, completing 64.7 percent of his passes while throwing for 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Now, he'll have to fill in for Fields and Dalton, with recently signed Ryan Willis likely operating as the backup against the Seahawks.

While this is certainly not exciting for Bears fans, at least Foles is familiar with the system that the Bears were running for Fields and Dalton. He can step in and run the offense more quickly than someone like Willis, who was on the practice squad, could.

Beset with injuries to Justin Fields and Andy Dalton, Chicago will have to start Nick Foles at quarterback in Week 16 against the Seahawks.
