Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has been fantastic this season and helped lead the Bears to victory Sunday night against division rival Minnesota Vikings.

On Monday, the Bears revealed that Trubisky had injured his shoulder on his throwing arm in Sunday’s game, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Although the Bears did not practice today, the injury still came out on a report on Monday. As of right now, there is no reason that Trubisky should miss any time or miss Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.

Trubisky has looked like a different quarterback with new head coach Matt Nagy in town. The 2nd overall pick in last year’s draft did not have the rookie season the Bears had hoped for, but things have changed for Trubisky, and he has been great so far this season.

Chicago’s young quarterback has 2,469 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions this season. What’s more impressive is how well Trubisky brought diversity to the offense with his mobility. He has run for 363 yards and three rushing touchdowns, and he leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards at this point in the season.

Chicago is leading the NFC North for the first time in many years. That is an impressive feat right now considering how strong the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers both can potentially be Super Bowl contending teams. The 7-3 Bears have a somewhat easy schedule ahead of them despite the Rams and Packers who can both be tough opponents. Otherwise, Chicago will likely be favored against the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions.
