The Chicago Bears and Kyle Fuller took a tough loss to their divisional rivals, the Green Bay Packers, in Week 1. Then Week 2 saw them in another dogfight, this time with the Denver Broncos.
In jeopardy of falling to an 0-2 record, the Bears needed someone to come up with a big play. Down seven, the Broncos were close to scoring in the fourth quarter. That's when Kyle Fuller took matters into his own hands though.
Fuller's big time interception made a massive difference in this game. It stopped the Broncos from scoring there, and gave the Bears a chance to lower the clock some more.
However, it wasn't the end of the game. Denver ended up scoring to take the lead (went for two and got it). That still wasn't the end of the game though. Chicago drove down the field and kicked a field goal for the win.
With all that happening, it's easy to forget about this interception. So much happened afterwards and a lot of big plays will make the highlight reel.
However, it all started with this. If it wasn't for this interception, the game could've ended totally different. Kyle Fuller ensured that the Bears held onto the lead for a little bit longer and it could be considered a game-changer.
The Bears ended up winning the matchup by a final score of 16-14 and moved their record to 1-1 on the year. Don't overlook the importance of this play. Fuller may have just saved Chicago from starting their year in a big hole with an 0-2 record.
