Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has yet to play in 2019. However, it looked like he was set to make his season debut in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Now, it has been announced that Green will not play against Cincinnati's AFC North division rivals.

This is tough, honestly. Green has struggled with injuries for a very long time and it's hard to see him miss this much time.

That being said, Green might not have missed as many games in his career as you would've expected. Everyone labels Green as injury prone, but in reality, he played in 16 games four times over his first eight seasons.

Another one of those seasons saw him play 15 games, and one saw 13. The other two saw 10 and nine (last season).

Now he's already missed the most time he's ever missed in a single season this year.

This would be frustrating to watch with any player, but with Green there's the added annoyance of just how good he is. There was a time when he was firmly in the discussion for the best wide receiver in the entire league.

Now it seems like he's so easy to forget when talking about that category. That is the case despite the fact that he had over 1,000 yards receiving in six of his first seven seasons (the only one he didn't was 2016 when he had 964 yards in just 10 games).

Green is one of the biggest matchup problems in the NFL and almost impossible to stop in one-on-one situations.

It's easy to forget that when he hasn't played in so long. Hopefully, this is just a precaution as he's not back to 100% yet. Maybe we'll see him out there for the Bengals' Week 11 matchup with the Oakland Raiders.
