The Cincinnati Bengals suffered their worst loss of the season on Monday night in a 45-10 blowout against the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs. It featured a highly ineffective performance from quarterback Andy Dalton that saw their offense have much struggles moving the ball down the field against the Chiefs defense.

Despite that, Dalton expressed no concern for how things played out with his outlook looking ahead to next week, according to The Associated Press.

“It's just one game. We've got another one next week,” Dalton said. “As much as this one sucks, like I said, everything's still right there. We're in a great position. We've got to go take advantage of it.”

It was an extremely one-sided affair with the Chiefs taking charge on both sides of the ball. The Bengals simply had no answer defensively with second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes adding to his MVP candidacy after completing 28-of-39 passes for 358 yards with four touchdowns to an interception. In fact, Kansas City totaled 551 offensive yards with 33 first downs on just nine drives in the contest. Pro Bowl running back Kareem Hunt also poured in an all-around effort 86 rushing yards and a touchdown along with five catches for 55 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Andy Dalton and Bengals offense struggled to string together scoring drives with just two for the entire game. The 30-year-old had the least productive outing of the season completing 15-of-29 passes for just 148 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He was unable to take advantage of what had appeared to be a favorable matchup against a struggling defense with the Chiefs coming off giving up 43 points to the New England Patriots the previous week.

Nonetheless, the Bengals will have a chance to bounce back in Week 8 with a matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that could push them on top of the AFC North standings.
