Since the trade of veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns last week, it has made it clear that the Buffalo Bills are in the market for a quarterback. Much of this sense came from the team looking to acquire one of the top quarterbacks in this year's crop in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Bill had put themselves in the position to make a move with back-to-back first-round draft picks at the 21st and 22nd overall selections. According to Peter Schrager of Fox Sports, Buffalo has moved a step closer to putting themselves adding a top-tier prospect quarterback in the trade of offensive tackle Cordy Glenn.

Buffalo now holds the 12th and 22nd overall picks in the first round along with the two second rounders and a pair of third-round selections. This could put them in position to move further up in the first round to possibly land their next franchise quarterback. The team had been previously rumored to have interest in USC's Sam Darnold, who is widely believed to be the first overall pick in this year's draft.

The Bills will save $4.85 million of Glenn's $14.4 million cap hit for the 2018 season as long as the deal is completed before his $2 million roster bonus comes into effect on Sunday. The 28-year-old still has three years left on his five-year, $60 million deal that runs through the 2020 season.

Meanwhile, the Bengals have acquired a talented offensive lineman that can stabilize the left side of the offensive line on Pro Bowl quarterback Andy Dalton's blind side. The team has struggled to find a solution at left tackle since Pro Bowler Andrew Whitworth departed in free agency last offseason.

That said, there have been health questions surrounding Glenn as he was limited to making just five starts in the first nine games of the season due to nagging foot and ankle injury. He was then placed on the season-ending injured reserve in Week 15 after being unable to play in five straight weeks before that. If he's able to stay healthy, he could be a huge asset for the Bengals next season and possibly beyond.
