Back in 2017, the Cincinnati Bengals played spoiler against the Baltimore Ravens, securing a spot for the Buffalo Bills to break a post-season drought for them. In response, Bills Mafia sent thousands of donations to Andy Dalton's foundation at the time. That started a trend of opposing fans showing their respect for their opponents by donating to their star's charity.

This time, it was Cincinnati's turn to give to their charity of choice. After the Bengals acquired Hayden Hurst from the Atlanta Falcons, the tight end's foundation received a bunch of donations from fans. (via @HHFoundation81 on Twitter)

Hurst's story went viral last year as a member of the Falcons. The now-Bengals tight end detailed his struggles with his mental health, and opened up to nearly ending his life at one point. Thankfully, Hurst pushed through his struggles, and he has now set up his foundation in order to help those with mental health problems of their own.

The Bengals signed Hurst primarily as a replacement for CJ Uzomah, the franchise's long-time captain. Uzomah was well-loved by the fans, and his departure saddened many of their supporters. However, it's nice to see the fanbase give the same love they had for Uzomah for their new tight end.

With Hurst in tow (along with a bunch of new shiny offensive linemen), the Bengals are looking to get back to the Super Bowl. They had an epic run to the Big Game last season, but were bested by the Los Angeles Rams in the final game. Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and the rest of the team are looking to redeem themselves from that loss.
