The Cincinnati Bengals came out with a surprise 34-31 overtime win on the road over the Jacksonville Jaguars with Jake Browning at quarterback, and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase revealed the message he had for his quarterback throughout the game.

“He showed poise today, he showed he could still be QB1,” Ja'Marr Chase said, via Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. “I was on him the whole game telling him good job encouraging him, just getting him in that mode of being ready and being prepared for situations like this, and I kept pushing him to be great and that's all I want to do is to push the guys around me to be better.”

Jake Browning led the Bengals on a drive for a game-winning field goal in overtime after the defense stopped the Jaguars, and Chase detailed the mindset on that final drive.

“Really just fight man,” Chase said, via Wolfe. “Just keep fighting, you know what I'm saying? We stepping on their neck, might as well slit their throat while we here you know what I'm saying? Just keep fighting, that's all I said.”

The Bengals virtually kept their season alive with the win, moving to 6-6 on the season. Up next are the Indianapolis Colts in a home game next week. That is a huge matchup against a team that the Bengals are battling with for a wild card spot in the AFC. After the Colts game, the Bengals will finish the season with games against the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns. Each of those games will be vital when it comes to securing a playoff spot in the AFC. The Bengals could use more of what they saw from Jake Browning on Monday.

It will be interesting to see if Browning can keep up this positive momentum and help Cincinnati get another win.
