Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow returned to practice on Wednesday, and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase said that the priority is for Burrow in his return is to get back to 100%. Chase said that Burrow seemed ready to play after yesterday's practice.

“He looked good,” Ja'Marr Chase said, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. “I didn't see hobbling, I didn't see much. He doesn't look like he's having any problems. When Joe's out there, it's a little more dialed in. He's staying positive about the whole situation. It's all about the health and how he feels. That's the most important thing this year. We want to get him back, make sure he's healthy, 100% healthy.”

By all indications, it seems that Joe Burrow will be ready to play and on the field for the Bengals' week 1 game on the road against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 10. However, it seems that Chase is content with the idea of getting Burrow back to 100%, even if it means missing some of the regular season.

It will be interesting to monitor the reports about how Burrow looks in practice over the next week or so leading up to the game against the Browns. It would be a surprise if he does not play in the season opener.

The expectations are high for the Bengals this season, as has been the case over the last couple of years. Since Burrow was drafted, the Bengals have been a Super Bowl contender. They hope to get over the hump this season.
