It's early on in the playoff matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs. However, it seems Cincinnati has lost a valuable asset on the offense. This is not ideal for this franchise, as being short-handed against Kansas City is not ideal. We'll see what happens, but Joe Burrow's life has become just a tad bit more difficult.

According to James Palmer, starting tight end CJ Uzomah has been carted off the field. He got banged up on a play in the first quarter after taking a shot directly to his knee. It didn't look great, as the Bengals' tight end was in agony almost immediately.

Although CJ Uzomah isn't a top-three pass option, he still plays a vital role for the Bengals. The team has taken him to the locker room, but unfortunately, he's already listed as doubtful to return, per Ian Rapoport. We'll see what the official injury is later, but if Cincinnati advances to the Super Bowl, they could be without Uzomah altogether.

The good news is that Joe Burrow still has plenty of weapons at his disposal. Ja'Marr Chase has proven to be one of the best receivers in the league already, while Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd are high-end pass options as well. Additionally, Joe Mixon will get the job done out of the backfield. With Uzomah sidelined, the Bengals should be able to maintain their offense throughout this matchup.

It'll be interesting to see how the remainder of this game plays out. The Chiefs find themselves up 14-3 early in the second quarter. Cincinnati needs to improve their play on offense if they hope to stay within reach of Kansas City. If not, this matchup could get out of hand for the Bengals rather quickly.
