The Cincinnati Bengals weren't having any of Juju Smith-Schuster's pre-game antics and gave the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver a stern warning prior to their Week 14 match-up on Monday. Bengals safety Vonn Bell made sure to relay the message by giving Smith-Schuster a nasty hit that forced a fumble late in the first quarter.
Article Continues BelowBell spoke about the crucial play that helped the Bengals take command in the first half. The 26-year old sort of downplayed his intentions, but nonetheless gave a slight jab to Smith-Schuster, saying that he lets his game “do the talking” instead.
Smith-Schuster has this weekly ritual of pre-recording himself while dancing on the opposing team's logo. The Bengals came prepared with a game plan and the 24-year old certainly the wrath coming from Bell.
Cincinnati entered the contest with a 2-10-1 mark. Meanwhile, the Steelers came in looking to snap a two-game losing streak, after beginning the season on an 11-game tear.
For sure, Smith-Schuster was just doing whatever he can to hype up his team to snap out of their funk. However, his pre-game antics backfired in a big way with the Bengals using that to fuel their 27-17 victory.
With three straight defeats, Pittsburgh has some soul searching to do as it looks to hold on for dear life onto the AFC North lead.
