The Cincinnati Bengals placed three players on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list ahead of 2023 training camp, the team announced Sunday. The three players are offensive tackle La'el Collins, cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, and offensive tackle Devin Cochran.

Bengals training camp is getting underway this week, with Joe Burrow and others reporting on Sunday. Burrow's contract extension negotiations are taking center stage for Cincinnati, but this injury news is also notable. All three players are eligible to be activated from this list at any time during camp.

This will be Collins' second season with the Bengals after coming over from the Dallas Cowboys. Collins started all 15 games he played in last season, but he tore his ACL and other ligaments in his knee toward the end of the season. If Collins returns healthy in camp, he will likely compete with Jonah Williams for the starting right tackle spot after Cincinnati signed Orlando Brown Jr. in free agency.

Awuzie is also a former Cowboy, but he joined the Bengals a year before Collins in 2021. He also tore his ACL last season and missed about half the year and the playoffs. There's hope he'll be good to go for the start of the 2023 season, though nothing is guaranteed right now.

Cochran went undrafted in 2022 before signing with the Bengals, but he didn't play in any games last season.

Cincinnati is looking to return to the Super Bowl after falling just short against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. With Burrow and plenty of talent on the roster, the Bengals should be one of the best teams in the NFL again and are hoping key players like Awuzie and Collins will be healthy soon.
