Cincinnati Bengals defensive linemen Ryan Glasgow and Carl Lawson helped each other with crutches after they suffered ACL tears last season.

Glasgow told The Athletic's John Dehner, Jr. on June 7 about their usual ordeal when they go to breakfast together at a restaurant in Cincinnati.

Carl was on crutches the first four or five visits, so I would help him up the stairs, bring his crutches up.

We'd get seated by the same dude. I swear he works seven days a week. I don't know his name, but he had to (work) seven days a week for like 12 hours.

But he would seat us at the same table and take our order every time. We probably had everything on the menu at that place. No question.

“We'd limp over there,” the 23-year-old Lawson told Dehner. “He'd open the door for me, I'd open the door for him.”

Lawson tore his right ACL in October during a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also tore his left ACL during his sophomore year with the Auburn Tigers, per the Cincinnati Enquirer's Fletcher Page.

Glasgow tore his ACL during the Bengals' 31-21 loss to the Carolina Panthers on September 24, 2018. Lawson and Glasgow's injuries occurred just a month apart.

Cincinnati hobbled to a 6-10 record in the 2018 NFL season. The Bengals also missed the postseason for the third straight year. When Lawson and Glasgow return, they're hoping they can help turn their fortunes around in 2019.
