The Cincinnati Bengals were initially holding their breath on running back Joe Mixon’s questionable status in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mixon has managed to quell any concerns about his chest injury by responding with a career day, featuring three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) already.

Mixon managed to secure the hat trick from 22 yards out to extend the Bengals’ lead over the Jaguars:

Mixon had been a full participant in practice all week until a chest injury landed him on the injury report on Saturday. While there was some speculation regarding his potential workload versus Jacksonville, it is safe to say the Bengals running back is looking quite healthy.

Mixon has served as a centerpiece for the Bengals all season while rookie quarterback Joe Burrow finds his footing. His versatility as both a runner and pass catcher out of the backfield has served as a stabilizing factor for Burrow.

Fantasy football owners are also relishing the fact that there is still plenty of time for Mixon to take another trip to the end zone. Meanwhile, the Bengals are in position to earn their first win of the season.
