After a 5-2 defeat and elimination of Notre Dame that gave Texas A&M multiple wins in the same College World Series for the first time since 1956, the Aggies now stare down Oklahoma knowing they need to beat the Sooners on back-to-back days to keep their season alive. It's time to continue our college world series odds series with a Texas A&M-Oklahoma prediction and pick.
For Oklahoma, just one win puts them through to the finals, where they would face off with one of either Ole Miss or Arkansas. Will it be all Boomer Sooner in Omaha or will the Aggies spoil the coronation at least for one day?
First pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 2PM EST on ESPN, so let’s jump straight into the odds, courtesy of FanDuel.

Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma Prediction
Article Continues BelowThis game is an interesting one to bet on because you, me, and Oklahoma know they don't have to win this game. Obviously, they'll be gunning for it so they don't have to play tomorrow and can save a pitcher for the finals, but what I also notice that oddsmakers have shifted is the math behind each bet. Coming into today, the kind of odds you see on the spread hadn't shown up in a single College World Series game so far, of which there have been ten. Anyway, here's the bets you should make to earn yourself a little bit of extra cash.
Texas A&M moneyline simply has more favorable odds from a bettor's perspective, so it seems the more logical choice even if you like the Sooners. Typically teams with their back against the wall respond, and we've seen that from the Aggies, who have won two consecutive elimination games by a combined score of 15-3. Nonetheless, they're in for a challenge, having already lost to the Sooners once in Omaha.
Oklahoma -1.5 runs is a choice so obvious that if you or anyone you know picks otherwise, you honestly deserve money. Not only are the odds about a million times more favorable, but Oklahoma has won their two games in Omaha by five and four runs respectively, including a 13-8 victory over Texas A&M in the opening round. Not only does it seem fairly likely that the Sooners get it done, but it'll also net you a nice return on investment if they do.
Under 14.5 runs is the bet to make seeing as only three games in Omaha, the aforementioned 13-8 Oklahoma win over A&M, Arkansas' 17-2 win over Stanford, and Ole Miss' 13-5 win over Arkansas, have hit the over. Sure, the run spread has been big, and teams have been hitting the ball out of the ballpark with relative ease, but they haven't often combined for enough to hit the over. Seven out of ten hitting the under tells a story that can only be concluded by saying 70% is more than a trend, and you should take the under.
Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma Prediction
Oklahoma is my pick to win the game, they along with Ole Miss are the hottest teams in baseball right now, and they just need to grab one win over the next two days to take themselves to the championship series. The Sooners have already shown an ability to score on the Aggies at will, and if their pitching can do a little better at keeping A&M off the board, they'll be well served by it.
Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma Prediction & Pick: Oklahoma -1.5 (+128)
