It is the third game of an NL Central series on Wednesday as the St. Louis Cardinals visit the Cincinnati Reds. It is time to continue our MLB odds series with a Cardinals-Reds prediction and pick.
Game one of the series was on Monday. Paul Goldschmidt started the scoring with a home run in the first innings, just Jeimer Candelario homers to right in the bottom of the inning to tie it up. Will Benson singled home a run in the second and then Jonathan India scored on an error. That would be the end of the scoring, as Lick Lodolo went 5.1 innings, just giving up one run, and Lance Lynn gave up three runs, but just one earned. The Reds would win 3-1.
Game two of the series will be on Tuesday. Kyle Gibson will be on the mound for the Cardinals. He is 33-2 on the year with a 3.81 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. Andrew Abbot will be on the mound for the Reds. He is 3-4 with a 2.68 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP.

Brendan Donovan has also been solid. He is hitting .228 on the year with 12 doubles and four home runs, leading to 25 RBIs. He has also scored 25 times this year.

While it may be high-scoring early, expect the scoring to wane throughout the game and the Reds to get the win.
