The Astros and Braves will battle for Game 3 from Truist Park on Friday, with each team looking to take a series lead. The Braves took Game 1 despite losing ace Charlie Morton to injury early in the game. Morton was struck on the leg by a line drive and was unable to complete the third inning, leaving the Braves bullpen with a tall task, but they delivered as did their offense as they rolled to a 6-2 victory in Game 1. In Game 2, the Astros bats came out hot, and they never looked back on their way to a 7-2 win to even the series. Game 3 is sure to be a thriller, as it could be a big swing game for the series.

Why the Astros can win World Series Game 3
The Astros offense broke out, like it often does, for seven runs in Game 2. The Braves will need to be careful to keep them in check in Game 3 to slow their momentum and regain control of the series. Houston will turn to Luis Garcia for Game 3, who struggled this postseason before putting things back together in his final start of the ALCS. Garcia will just need to keep the Braves somewhat in check to give his offense a chance to outscore Atlanta and give the Astros a 2-1 series lead. The biggest reason the Astros can win any game is their lineup, and they have a decent matchup vs. Ian Anderson on Friday, who has been solid this postseason but struggled to go deep into games.
Why the Braves can win World Series Game 3
Braves starter Ian Anderson is from New York, so the chilly weather may benefit him Friday night. He will look to continue his solid postseason work, but hopefully go a little deeper in this game as he didn't make it past the fourth inning in either of his NLCS starts vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers. Atlanta's lineup will look to get back on track after they generated just two runs in Game 2, and they usually are able to scratch across some runs at home. The Braves are 5-0 at home this postseason, and will look to stay perfect on their home grounds Friday evening. Freddie Freeman and Austin Riley will look to continue carrying the Braves offense, while veterans like Joc Pederson, Eddie Rosario, Adam Duvall and Jorge Soler will look to come up with timely hits like they have so far on Atlanta's journey to their first World Series appearance since 1999. The Braves are very good at home, and have a great shot to take a series lead on Friday night in Game 3.
