These two long-time rivals will play game three of their four-game series as the San Francisco Giants take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Giants are hoping to stay competitive for a wild-card position while the Dodgers are being the Dodgers and taking over the NL West division, as usual. The Giants are playing some decently good baseball lately, trying to stay in the wild-card for the National League, but they have other teams like the Dodgers who are keeping them from getting anywhere. So far on the season, the Giants are 48-45 while they sit in third place in the NL West, 14.5 games behind the Dodgers. The Giants are third in the league in terms of offense, scoring 4.8 runs per game. However, their pitching is in the bottom 10 of the league with a combined bullpen ERA of 4.19. Starting on the bump tonight for the Giants will be veteran lefty Alex Wood, who is making his 19th start of the season. So far, he's posting a 6-7 record with a 4.20 ERA. He'll look to try and improve his numbers tonight over the Dodgers.

As the Dodgers begin the second half of their season, they're right back to their old ways of dominance. They currently lead the NL West division with an overall record of 62-30, putting them 10.5 games above the Padres. Once again, along with the Yankees, the Dodgers are one of the most balanced and talented teams in baseball. They're currently ranked second in both runs per game and combined team ERA. Tonight, Julio Urias will get the start on the bump for the Dodgers as he is 8-6 with a 2.89 ERA so far this season through 18 starts. He's faced the Giants twice this season, splitting a 1-1 record. He'll look to put more damage on the Giants tonight to secure the series.

This is always a fun game to watch, considering the rivalry, but it's not always a fun game to bet. These teams like to keep it close against each other and that makes it hard to pick the right winner. However, it's never a good idea to bet against the Dodgers, especially when they're playing other rivals. With that said, I'm going the with Dodgers run line tonight. I usually don't like betting run-lines as anything can happen, but the Dodgers always find ways to win, which is usually an easy leg to add on to the end of a parlay for a little extra pay-out. Give me the Dodgers to win by two or more runs and take the series win tonight.
