The New York Yankees continue their weekend series against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night. With that said, it's a good time to check out our  MLB odds series, which includes our Yankees-Orioles prediction and pick we have laid out below.

New York and their league-leading 65-30 record will face off against Baltimore in the middle game of a three-game series. Last night, Aaron Judge smacked two home runs in a 7-6 victory.

Baltimore has ridden the strength of a shutdown bullpen to a 46-47 record, by far their best mark since 2016.

Why The Yankees Could Cover The Spread

You do not have to squint to see a way that the Yankees could win just about any game they play. Two of baseball's most feared sluggers, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, make their homes in this lineup. The pair have combined for 60 home runs, while the Yankees as a team have sent 163 balls over the wall, including three last night. Recently, New York has owned Baltimore, going 10-4 in the season series while scoring 73 runs. In the last 100 meetings between the teams, New York owns an impressive 69-31 record. More good news could be coming the Yankees' way if Joey Gallo's two home runs in his last eight at-bats are any indication of things to come.

The Yankees are sending out their best, Gerrit Cole, in this one. Cole owns a career 2.13 ERA against Baltimore, compiling a 5-2 record to go along with an 80:9 K:BB ratio. Cole has been dominant of late, posting a 2.14 ERA in his previous seven games. Backing up Cole is one of baseball's best bullpens, even after the loss of Michael King to an elbow injury. New York's bullpen ranks second in baseball with a 2.96 ERA, striking out more than a batter per inning.

Why The Orioles Could Cover The Spread

Baltimore played last night's game though, rallying from down 7-3, but ultimately fell short in a 7-6 defeat. Still, scoring six runs against the Yankees is no short feat, and could be encouraging moving forward. Baltimore is solid at home, with a 25-18 record in Camden Yards. Jordan Lyles will be tasked with keeping the Yankees at bay in this one, already the fifth time he has squared off with them this season. Lyles is 1-2 against the Yankees this season, but outside of a disastrous April 26 start, he has been solid against his division rival. Even after surrendering two runs in their four innings of work last night, Baltimore's bullpen ERA sits at 3.15, good for fifth best in the league.

Baltimore's offense ranks in the back half of the league in just about every major category. Despite this, they managed six runs and nine hits last night, knocking starter Jameson Taillon out of the game in the third inning. Three of those runs came off the bat of Anthony Santander, who knocked his 16th home run of the season off Aroldis Chapman, bringing the game to within one run in the seventh inning. Three Orioles managed multi-hit games last night. The Orioles will likely need a slugfest to defeat the Yankees, but their strong bullpen is a weapon.

Final Yankees-Orioles Prediction & Pick

Given the track record, it is hard to pick against the Yankees. Look for the recent trend to continue in this one.

Final Yankees-Orioles Prediction & Pick: Yankees -1.5 (-144), over 8.5 (-114)
