The Boston Celtics will head into California to take on the Golden State Warriors as two of the league's hottest teams square off on ESPN tonight. Both of these teams are coming into this game very healthy, so there should be some very good matchups tonight. The Celtics are currently in fifth place in the East and just four and a half games back from the leading Heat. The Warriors are third in the West right now but are eight games behind the Suns for first place. With that, it’s time to continue our NBA odds series with a Celtics-Warriors prediction and pick.

Why The Celtics Can Cover The Spread/Win
The Boston Celtics have been really cooking lately, despite losing their last time out to the Dallas Mavericks by only three points, going 16-4 in their last 20 games. While the Celtics are 41-28 overall, they tend to struggle on the road, with a record of 17-16. A big reason for the Celtics' recent success is from their superstar Jayson Tatum, as he is averaging 36.7 points per game through the month of March while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc. Tatum will look to his teammates in Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams III to really help him out tonight as they take on a dangerous Warriors team.
Why The Warriors Can Cover The Spread/Win
The Golden State Warriors have found another groove as they have now won four straight games. Overall, the Warriors are 47-22, and 29-7 when playing on their home court. A big boost for their team last game was the return of Draymond Green, who only played 20 minutes off the bench, but was still a very impactful player. Superstar Stephen Curry is happy to have Draymond back as Curry's usage rate increases from 28.3 percent up to 33.1 percent. However, All-Star Andrew Wiggins is listed as questionable with an illness as he missed the last game and didn't practice on Tuesday. We'll see how the Warriors shape up tonight in their own building against a hot Celtics team.
Final Celtics-Warriors Prediction & Pick
Both of these teams share a very common part of the game and that is defense. Yes, both sides have extremely good firepower on offense, but these teams rank first and second in defensive rating this season; which is even better now that Draymond Green is back for the Warriors. Both of these teams also like to play at a slow pace: the Warriors are ranked 14th this season while the Celtics are ranked 24th. I'll be honest, I don't love the line at -2 for the Warriors. Yes, I think they can cover, but I think the under has a better chance at hitting than the spread does tonight. It doesn't make me confident in the total being so low, but you can always move it to feel more comfortable if you'd like. For now, give me the under.
Final Celtics-Warriors Prediction and Pick: Under 219.5 (-110)
