The Memphis Grizzlies will play the Brooklyn Nets in an inter-conference matchup on Monday. It's time continue our NBA odds series with a Grizzlies-Nets prediction and pick.

The Grizzlies and Nets will play on Monday in a battle between two of the better teams in the NBA so far this season. Brooklyn has been able to use their depth and star power to wade the waters during a tumultuous stretch of Covid absences. Memphis has not been hit as hard by Covid, and but was without star guard Ja Morant for a bit. The Grizzlies' young core was able to pick up the slack and they look like a true playoff contender in the West now that Morant is back in the fold. The Nets will have James Harden and Kevin Durant for this one at home, so they come in as solid favorites over Memphis in this one.

Here is how FanDuel has set the Grizzlies-Nets odds for this Monday NBA matchup.

NBA Odds: Grizzlies-Nets Odds

Why The Grizzlies Could Cover The Spread

The Grizzlies have been very good this season and sit as the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference with a 23-14 record. Memphis is riding a four-game win streak into this one and has won seven out of their last ten overall. The Grizzlies are 10-6 on the road this season. Ja Morant has been on fire of late, scoring 30 or more points in his last three games. Kyle Anderson, John Konchar, De'Anthony Melton, Dillon Brooks and Xavier Tillman are out for the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies are a solid 22-15 vs. the spread this season and a crisp 11-5 on the road against the number. Memphis is 10-6 against the spread as underdogs anywhere this season, and 7-4 as away dogs. The Grizzlies have covered in six of their last ten and three of their last four.

Why The Nets Could Cover The Spread

Having Kevin Durant and James Harden is always nice. To go with them, the Nets have a solid mix of young guys and veterans who are almost all two way players who can both defend and help the team in some way offensively. Brooklyn is the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 23-11 record, going 6-4 in their last ten games. The Nets are just 10-8 at home this season compared to 13-3 on the road. This could be a good spot for a cover as Brooklyn will be the better team in this spot vs. a somewhat modest spread considering they are at home.

Brooklyn vs. the spread

The Nets are 14-19-1 against the spread this season, and 3-13-1 as home favorites. Brooklyn is 10-18-1 overall as a favorite vs. the spread this season. Brooklyn has covered just twice in their last five games, going 5-5 vs. the spread across their last ten contests.

Final Grizzlies-Nets Prediction and Pick

Take the Nets to win and cover on Monday vs. the Grizzlies. Durant and Harden should be able to get locked in and take care of business as Brooklyn has finally gotten most of their roster back. Kyrie Irving will join the team on Wednesday in Indiana, but for this one the Nets should be able to take care of business with just two of their stars.
