The Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings will play in a Western Conference matchup on Monday night. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Suns-Kings prediction and pick.

The Suns and Kings will play Monday. Phoenix comes in on a four-game winning streak and will have a rest advantage over the Kings who lost at home Sunday night vs. the Indiana Pacers. The Suns have began to find their form from last season on their winning streak after a 1-3 start to the season. Devin Booker and Chris Paul again have the reins of a team that could make serious noise in the postseason. The Kings are simply looking to be involved in the postseason, and a 5-5 start has them in position to continue working towards that.

Here's how bookmakers have set the Suns-Kings odds for this Monday night matchup.

NBA Odds: Suns-Kings Odds

Phoenix Suns -2.5 (-110)

Sacramento Kings +2.5 (-110)

Over 225 points (-110)

Why The Suns Can Cover The Spread

Article Continues Below

The Suns have a +8.2 net rating on their four-game win streak, which is one of the best numbers across the league over that four-game stretch. After a suspect start to the year, Phoenix has turned it around of late. Paul is averaging 12.1 assists per game, with Booker scoring nearly 25 per. The Suns however will be without starting center Deandre Ayton, who is listed as out for Monday's game with a leg contusion. Notably, it should be pointed out the Suns did win without Ayton Saturday night vs. the Atlanta Hawks.

The Suns could be in a good spot to cover this slim spread on Monday with the rest edge and the better team.

Why The Kings Can Cover The Spread

Sacramento surprisingly has the 11th best net rating in the NBA so far this season at +2.0. The Kings however have lost three of their last five, and did play on Sunday putting them on a back-to-back on Monday vs. Phoenix. The Kings have not yet submitted an injury report for Monday for this reason, making betting on them an even trickier proposition. However, Harrison Barnes and De'Aaron Fox anchor what has been a difficult offense to slow down to slow down this season. The Kings rank fifth in the NBA in offensive rating.

Given the rest disadvantage and the Suns being the better team, the Kings may not be the play here. However, the Kings can win this game if they can replicate their median offensive output.

Final Suns-Kings Prediction & Pick

Take the Suns to cover this slim spread on the road, as they have both a talent and rest advantage. The absence of Ayton will be big, but JaVale McGee should be able to fill in.

FINAL SUNS-KINGS PREDICTION & PICK: Suns -2.5 (-110)
