Why The Wizards Could Cover The Spread
Bradley Beal is questionable to return to the lineup for the Wizards as of Tuesday morning. He has been in health and safety protocols and seemingly needs an additional negative test to make his return to the lineup. The Wizards will be without Thomas Bryant, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Aaron Holiday and Raul Neto on Tuesday due to health and safety protocols. Rui Hachimura is questionable to return from his absence. The Wizards will obviously have a much better chance at a cover and a win if Beal is able to go, so keep tabs on that before betting on Washington on Tuesday.
Washington vs. the spread
Article Continues BelowThe Wizards are 9-9-1 as underdogs against the spread this season, but 5-7-1 as away dogs. Washington is 14-18-1 overall against the spread, and has beat the spread just twice in their last nine games.
Why The Heat Could Cover The Spread
Jimmy Butler will be without teammates Kyle Lowry (health and safety protocols) and Bam Adebayo (injury) for this one but will look to keep the Heat rolling with their cast of hot young players. Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Gabe Vincent, Omer Yurtseven, and Caleb Martin have all been quality players this season for the Heat. Miami will look to continue to find a way to win games despite not having their full team. The Heat may be risky picks in this one laying quite a few points, however. Miami has been the better team of late, and should be able to find a way to win this game so a cover could be in play as well.
Miami vs. the spread
Miami is 5-6 against the spread as a home favorite this season, and 9-13 as a favorite overall. The Heat have covered just once in their last four games but covered in four of five before that. Miami is 5-5 vs. the spread in their last ten games, and 19-15 overall against it on the season.
Final Wizards-Heat Prediction and Pick
Take Miami to cover here. Even if Beal plays, he may be a bit rusty after some time off. The Heat have been playing well of late and should be better equipped to play shorthanded than the Wizards are if recent history is any indication. Miami has been able to use their depth to get wins this season while Washington has struggled without their key players.
Final Wizards-Heat Prediction & Pick: Heat -6.5 (-110)
