The Florida Panthers come into this game after an 8-4 loss to the Lightning on Sunday, snapping a 13-game winning streak. They have clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference and are now looking towards the playoffs with nothing really else to play for except for the President's Trophy. With that, the Panthers' odds have dropped a good amount here as they're expected to not play as well in these last final games to rest up and stay healthy. Starting goaltender for the Panthers tonight will likely be Sergei Bobrovsky, who is having a decent year, allowing 2.66 goals per game with a save percentage of .912 percent. The Panthers are definitely striking fear in the rest of the league right now and want to stay on top with another win tonight.
Why The Bruins Can Cover The Spread/Win
The Boston Bruins are coming into this game after a 5-3 win over the Canadiens on Sunday, adding another win to their now two-game win streak, and winning four of their last five games. The Bruins play very strong hockey at home, going 8-3 in their last 11 games in their own barn. The Bs are also fighting for better playoff positioning, just three points out from the Lightning and taking over that three seed in the Atlantic. Goaltender Linus Ullmark is the projected starter for the Bs tonight, with a save percentage of .914 on the season while allowing 2.52 goals against per game. The Bruins will look to keep their playoff-seeding hopes alive with a win on home ice tonight.

This is a good matchup tonight: a dominating Panthers team who has very good odds of winning it all and a very strong Bruins team who is fighting for a better playoff seeding. The Panthers are marked way down tonight, as expected for a team who will likely be trying to stay healthy more than win games at this point. So because of that, I like the Bruins at home tonight. They have more to play for and continue to dominate in their own building. With that said, I don't totally love the odds for this game, but at least they're barely in plus money to make it worth the bet. If the odds drop to a favorite, take the Panthers.
