The Baltimore Orioles will start a four-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre. We're here to share our MLB odds series, make an Orioles-Blue Jays prediction, and pick while showing you how to watch.

The Orioles will enter this series in second place in the American League East. They just won another series after dispatching the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Blue Jays come into this series ranking dead last in the AL East. Unfortunately, they have continued struggling, and it happened again against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The teams have split the two games this season. Significantly, the Orioles went 10-3 last season in the series. The O's also went 6-1 in seven games in Toronto. Yet, three of those games went into extra innings.

Grayson Rodriguez starts for the Orioles. He is 5-2 with a 3.53 ERA. Recently, he went six innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits while striking out 10 in a loss to the Boston Red Sox. Rodriguez has just one quality start in his last five outings. Also, he is 0-1 with a 4.32 ERA over three games against the Jays.

Kevin Gausman starts for the Blue Jays. He is 4-3 with a 4.14 ERA. Substantially, he went six innings in his last outing, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out three in a win over the Chicago White Sox. Gausman has had three straight quality starts. Yet, he is just 1-3 with a 4.61 ERA over five games.

Why The Orioles Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Orioles' solid offense has helped them thrive this season. So far, they are 10th in batting average and 18th in on-base percentage. The O's are also seventh in runs, second in home runs, and first in slugging percentage. Thus, they hope to keep clobbering the baseball.

Gunnar Henderson is an incredible leadoff hitter. Yet, he has struggled in his career against the Jays, hitting .242 with 22 hits, four home runs, 15 RBIs, and 12 runs over 25 games. Henderson is also 3 for 12 against Gausman with a double. Therefore, he looks to improve against him. Adley Rutschman is having another good season. Also, he is batting .346 with 44 hits, eight home runs, 24 RBIs, and 23 runs over 32 games against the Jays. Rutschman is also 4 for 15 with a double against Gausman. Ultimately, he hopes to continue driving in runs.

Ryan Mountcastle is a solid hitter. Additionally, he is batting .322 with 66 hits, 15 home runs, 43 RBIs, and 35 runs over 54 games against the Jays in his career. Mountcastle has also had some success against Gausman, going 6 for 14 in his career against him. Meanwhile, Ryan O'Hearn is hoping to hit the baseball more. O'Hearn is .243 with 18 hits, four home runs, 12 RBIs, and 10 runs over 26 games against the Blue Jays. Likewise, he is 3 for 9 against Gausman. Anthony Santander is .249 with 63 hits, 15 home runs, 40 RBIs, and 40 runs over 69 games against the Blue Jays. However, he is 2 for 12 against Gausman, with both hits leaving the ballpark for a home run.

The Orioles pitch really well. Currently, they are fifth in the majors in team ERA. Their relievers are also pretty good. So far, they have produced a bullpen ERA that is eighth in baseball.

The Orioles will cover the spread if they can continue hitting the baseball. Then, they need Rodriguez to pitch well.

Why The Blue Jays Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Blue Jays have struggled a lot this season. Ultimately, their offense has been part of this, as they rank 20th in batting average and 25th in runs. The Jays are also 10th in on-base percentage, 24th in home runs, and 21st in slugging percentage. Thus, their lineup needs to find ways to get on base, and some of their best hitters must get out of their slumps.

Bo Bichette has struggled this season. Yet, he has dominated the Orioles, batting .378 with nine home runs, 30 RBIs, and 28 runs over 32 games in his career. Bichette is also 2 for 6 against Rodriguez in his career. Meanwhile, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hopes to get things together. But Guerrero is .314 with 98 hits, 22 home runs, 56 RBIs, and 59 runs over 78 games against the Orioles in his career. Also, he is 2 for 8 against Rodriguez.

George Springer has had a long career. Furthermore, he is hitting .308 with 94 hits, 19 home runs, 51 RBIs, and 62 runs over 76 games against the Orioles. Springer is also 2 for 7 with a home run and three RBIs against Rodriguez.

The Jays have also struggled on the mound. Unfortunately, they are 20th in team ERA. Toronto also has a bullpen that is struggling to keep hitters from battering the baseball. So far, they are 27th in team ERA.

The Blue Jays will cover the spread if Bichette, Guerrero, and Springer can find ways to get on base and batter the baseball. Then, they need Gausman to pitch well and avoid mistakes.

Final Orioles-Blue Jays Prediction & Pick

The Orioles are an excellent team. Moreover, they have dominated the Jays in recent memory. The Blue Jays continue to have a bad season and just lost Jordan Romano again to injury. Overall, their hitters are not doing a great job, either. Expect the Orioles to come out strong in this one and do everything in their power to clobber the baseball. Then, look for the bullpen to shut down the Jays and cover the spread in the win.
