The Florida Panthers will try to take a commanding 3-1 lead in Game 4 of their second-round series at the TD Garden on Sunday. We're here to share our NHL odds series, make a Panthers-Bruins Game 4 prediction, and pick while showing you how to watch.

The Panthers destroyed the Bruins 6-2 in Game 3 to give themselves a 2-1 series lead. Ultimately, things started well for the Cats as Evan Rodrigues found the puck up in the air and batted it into the net to give the Panthers the 1-0 lead. The Cats struck again in the second period when Vladimir Tarasenko came off the criss-cross pass from Sam Bennett to send it home for a powerplay goal to give them a 2-0 lead. Later, Carter Verhaeghe tipped and redirected a shot into the net for a powerplay goal to make it 3-0.

The Panthers got another one in the third period when Brandon Montour came off the top of the blue line with a monster slapshot to give Florida a 4-0 advantage. However, the Bruins finally got on the board when Jakub Lauko got one into the net. Jake DeBrusk later came off a pass from Mason Lohrei and flung it into the net to cut the deficit to 4-2. Consequently, they ran out of time as they allowed two empty-net goals to seal this game.

Why The Panthers Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Panthers dominated Game 3 in multiple aspects. First, they had 33 shots compared to Boston's 18. The Panthers also won 52 percent of the faceoffs. However, their main advantage was on special teams. The Panthers went 4 for 6 on the powerplay and killed off both Boston powerplays. Thus, their ability to convert on the extra-man attack gave them the lift they needed. But their ability to limit their own penalties and shut down Boston's powerplay is why they are currently leading this series.

Aleksander Barkov has awoken in this series. Currently, he has four goals and eight assists in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, including one conversion on the powerplay. Barkov has also been a king in the faceoff circle, winning 77 draws and losing 56. Meanwhile, Matthew Tkachuk has scored often, converting four goals and nine assists.

Verhaeghe now has six goals and four assists, including two powerplay tallies. Thus, he has proven himself to be invaluable to the Panthers. Reinhart now has four goals and four assists. Also, he has won 28 draws and lost 25. Defenseman Brandon Montour has three goals and five assists, including one powerplay marker.

The defense and goaltending have recovered after a bad Game 1. Significantly, goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has helped this team retake the lead. Bobrovsky is now 6-2 with a 2.262 goals-against average and a save percentage of .892. Overall, he has done solid work over the past two games.

The Panthers will cover the spread if they can keep converting on the powerplay. Additionally, they need to keep shutting Boston down and prevent penalties.

Why The Bruins Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Bruins only had 18 shots on the net. Unfortunately, they could not find their way around the Florida defenders and were inefficient at creating any offensive opportunities until it was too late. They won 48 percent of their faceoff chances. Yet, they did almost nothing when they possessed the puck. Of course, they just were very sloppy in taking multiple penalties to keep giving a hot powerplay numerous chances.

Brad Marchand suffered an injury in Game 3 and did not return. Sadly, that could be a big blow for the Bruins, as he currently has three goals and seven assists, including two tallies on the powerplay. David Pastrnak has three goals and four assists. Despite generating an assist in Game 3, he has been otherwise quiet in this series.

DeBrusk now has five goals and three assists, including three tallies on the powerplay. Now, he must keep the production going. Pavel Zacha has five assists. However, he has struggled in the faceoff circle, winning 43 draws and losing 61. Charlie McAvoy has 41 hits and 24 blocked shots. Yet, he can always do more to help his team in front.

Jeremy Swayman is 5-4 with a 2.19 goals-against average and a save percentage of .931. Unfortunately, he has struggled over the past two games and must find a way to bounce back.

The Bruins will cover the spread if they can cut down on the penalties. Then, they need to get their offense going.

Final Panthers-Bruins Game 4 Prediction & Pick

The Bruins destroyed the Panthers in Game 1. Then, the Panthers answered back in Game 2. Florida followed back with another Game 3 domination. Ultimately, there was one thing that was a common denominator for all three games. The Panthers and Bruins combined for over five games in every single game. Ultimately, the offense has been humming. Expect that to continue as the Panthers try to take a 3-1 series lead. The over hits.
