We're set for another exciting bout at UFC Vegas 92 as we bring you another betting prediction and pick for all the fight action. This next bout takes us to the Lightweight (155) Division as we'll see Victor Martinez of Texas takes on Australia's Tom Nolan as both fighters meet early-on in their UFC journeys. Check out our UFC odds series for our Martinez-Nolan prediction and pick.

Victor Martinez (13-5) will be making his second walk to the UFC octagon following a loss in his debut fight against Jordan Leavitt. He was taken out via knees and punches in the first round, so he's still looking to find his footing and get on the board with his first official UFC win. He comes into this bout as the huge betting underdog. Martinez stands 5'8″ with a 70-inch reach.

Tom Nolan (6-1) will also be fighting his second bout in the UFC following a debut loss. The Contender Series alum won six-straight fights leading up to his appearance in the big show, to which he ran into a buzzsaw in Nikolas Motta. This time, he faces a similar fresh face but comes in with the sharp betting advantage. Nolan stands 6'3″ with a 73-inch reach.

Why Victor Martinez Will Win

Victor Martinez came into the UFC as a former Fury FC champion and knockout specialist. He has very quick and stiff jabs that he often strings together when tagging his opponents. His ground game isn't quite as developed, but he's very tough to hold on the ground and does a good job wrestling through the scrambles. Victor Martinez may want to utilize some of his grappling along the fence as he tries to close the distance on Nolan and press him against the cage. He was a tad quick to take damage against Jordan Leavitt, so he may want to be more measured here while dealing with another dangerous kickboxer.

Victor Martinez is a very tough fighter and while he's a massive underdog on the betting lines, he still has one-punch knockout ability and can end this fight in a flash if he's able to work inside and find the chin. He's also very confident in his abilities and while he's likely to play this one smart, he's still willing to take chances in order to find a spectacular or improbable finish. Look for him to try and make this fight as dirty as possible in hopes of disrupting Nolan's timing.

Why Tom Nolan Will Win

Tom Nolan suffered a tough defeat in his first UFC fight as Nikolas Motta caught him square on the chin and followed-up on the ground. It was a common mistake in a debut fight and you'd imagine his first-fight jitters are out of the way by now. Nolan will be a whole seven inches taller and work with a reach advantage during this fight. With his style of kickboxing, he'd be most successful picking his shots from range and using his long legs to create separation and damage with his kicks. Look for the teep kick up the middle as he looks to work Martinez to the bed early.

Tom Nolan has a unique build for the 155 weight class and we've seen fighters like him play into their strengths with the length in striking. During his debut, he lended himself to too many shots taken in the pocket. He should look to be more defensively sound and work at a farther distance throughout this fight. If he can control the action with his jab and leg kicks, he should cruise to a win here.

Final Victor Martinez-Tom Nolan Prediction & Pick

We've got another banger of a Prelim on our hands and we should see an exciting display of striking from both of these fighters. Both men are fighting their second fight in the UFC and searching for their first win. Tom Nolan is the rightful favorite with his physical advantages in height and reach. Still, Martinez is a tough customer and can end the fight in a hurry if he lands clean.

Victor Martinez will want to stay patient during this fight and not try to force the knockout. He'll look to drag this out and negate any action from Nolan by tying him along the fence. Tom Nolan will look to counter with his knees and elbows, while Martinez seeks the knockout counter shot.

For our prediction, we have to side with the betting favorite in Tom Nolan. He's the cleaner striker in terms of technique and he may have just had an off-night during his debut. If he uses all of his physical tools and turns in a clean striking performance, he should cruise to a convincing win here.
