The Chicago White Sox will finish a three-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday at American Family Field. We're here to share our MLB odds series, make a White Sox-Brewers prediction, and pick while showing you how to watch.

The Brewers took the first game of this series 12-5 on Friday at American Family Field. Initially, the Sox led 3-1 after three innings. But the Brewers battled back for three runs in the fourth inning. Then, the Sox retook the lead and were up 5-4 after six innings. But the Brewers exploded for a six-run seventh and a two-run eighth inning to put this game away. Now, they hope to finish this series strong and look to close out the Sox with strong pitching.

Nick Nastrini starts for the Sox. He is 0-4 with a 9.92 ERA. Recently, he went five innings, allowing three earned runs on three hits while striking out five and walking four in a loss to the Blue Jays. Nastini has struggled in all four starts.

Freddy Peralta starts for the Brewers. He is 3-3 with a 3.61 ERA. Ultimately, he went 5 2/3 innings while allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out 11 in a no-decision against the Chicago Cubs. Peralta has generated two quality starts over his last four outings. Overall, he has five quality starts.

Why The White Sox Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Sox have had an awful season, highlighted by the loss of Luis Robert to injury. To no one's surprise, they are last in the majors in batting average, on-base percentage, runs, and slugging percentage. Regretfully, they are on pace to match the 1932 Boston Red Sox and their historic -349 run record. They don't have many weapons, but some players can do some work.

Gavin Sheets is hoping to improve from his batting average of .236 with four home runs, 19 RBIs, and 14 runs. Therefore, look for him to try to get the timing down and make some contact. Andrew Vaughn is having a really bad season. Sadly, he is hitting just .199 with four home runs, 19 RBIs, and 14 runs. Paul DeJong might contribute. However, he is batting just .233 with eight home runs, 18 RBIs, and 20 runs after clubbing a home run on Friday.

The Sox's pitching is also abysmal. So far, they are 29th in team ERA. Chicago's bullpen is also below average. Ultimately, they are 22nd in team ERA.

The White Sox will cover the spread if they can get some scoring similar to what they did on Friday. Then, they need Nastrini to locate his pitches.

Why The Brewers Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Brewers are currently enjoying a great season thanks to a revived offense. Significantly, they are first in batting average and on-base percentage. The Brew Crew are also second in runs, eighth in home runs, and fourth in slugging percentage.

William Contreras is having an amazing season. Substantially, he is batting .323 with eight home runs, 44 RBIs, and 46 runs, and is more than likely going to finish with 100 RBIs and 100 runs at the pace he is going. Christian Yelich is also having a career-best season. Currently, he is batting .325 with six home runs, 27 RBIs, and 21 runs. Yelich slugged five RBIs on Friday.

Willy Adames is showcasing some power. Ultimately, he is batting .256 with nine home runs, 39 RBIs, and 32 runs. Jackson Chourio is hitting .210 with five home runs, 16 RBIs, and 20 runs. Now, the rookie hope to contribute in this one.

The Brewers have a decent pitching staff. Currently, they rank 11th in team ERA. But their relievers are even better. Significantly, they rank seventh in team ERA.

The Brewers will cover the spread if they can continue to batter the baseball all over the diamond. Then, they need Peralta to dominate like he always does and avoid long innings.

Final White Sox-Brewers Prediction & Pick

The White Sox are a historically bad team. It's so bad they aren't even covering the spread adequately. In fact, they are just 0-9 against the spread over their last nine games (all losses). The White Sox have not covered the spread in a loss since April 29. Consequently, they just don't have the talent to stay competitive. But the Brewers are one of the best teams in baseball, despite losing their manager to the rival Chicago Cubs. Expect this offense to keep clubbing the baseball and for the Brewers to cover the spread again.
