The Washington Redskins opted to part ways with cornerback Josh Norman following the arrival of their new regime. It appears he has already started to garner some interest on the market.

General manager Brandon Beane revealed that that Buffalo Bills have been in contact with Norman this offseason, via Nate Mendelson the team’s website:

“We have looked into him and even talked to him,” Beane said. “Nothing more than that. I’m sure he may have some other teams that he’s looking at beyond Buffalo. Probably a similar situation to Greg Olsen, he’s in a spot where he’ll be able to choose where he wants to go. I don’t know what his plan will be of whether we’ll come to any type of agreement.”

The Bills' interest in Norman is certainly understandable. Both Beane and head coach Sean McDermott are already well-acquainted with him during their time with the Carolina Panthers. It is safe to say that they had enjoyed plenty of success together before going their separate ways.

Buffalo has put together quite the secondary in recent years and this group is now led by cornerback Tre'Davious White following his breakout 2019 NFL season. It is clear that they are hoping to secure some quality depth by bring Norman into the mix to potentially help this team take that next step in the playoffs.

The Bills had already been linked to former Panthers tight end Greg Olson before he eventually signed with the Seattle Seahawks. It will be interesting to see if they can pull it off this time around.
