Josh Allen has the Buffalo Bills just one win away from advancing to the Super Bowl despite issues going on with his family in recent months. While Allen has his focus on helping the Bills defeat the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Allen's father has been battling COVID-19.

It was shared by Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times that Joel Allen, Josh's father, has been battling COVID-19 and pneumonia. The strong-armed quarterback's father was hospitalized earlier this month due to the illnesses he is dealing with.

Throughout Josh's career, Joel has done everything he can to make it to all of his son's games. However, with him not feeling the best due to COVID-19, Joel won't be present at Sunday's game versus the Chiefs.

Of course, Josh's father isn't the first family member of his to experience sickness this year as his grandmother passed away in 2020. In response to his grandmother's unfortunate passing, Bills Mafia gathered up over $1 million in donations to the Oishei Children's Hospital in her memory.

Despite the hardships he's had to deal with in recent months, Allen has somehow been able to maintain tunnel vision on football. The first-time Pro Bowler cemented himself as an MVP candidate in 2020 and has performed well in Buffalo's first two playoff games.

It goes without saying that we hope that Allen's father makes a speedy recovery from COVID-19 as his son prepares to face the reigning Super Bowl champions. And it's safe to say that Josh will be hoping for a Bills win on Sunday so his father can witness him play in a Super Bowl.
