The Buffalo Bills have agreed to a two-year deal with defensive end Quinton Jefferson worth $13.5 million, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.

Before agreeing with the Bills, Jefferson spent his first four years with the Seattle Seahawks.

Following a standout career at the University of Maryland, the Seahawks drafted Jefferson in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He struggled to remain healthy during his rookie year, as he missed a bulk of the season with a torn ACL. Seattle waived him in 2017, though they eventually brought him back in 2018.

Nevertheless, Jefferson has played phenomenal in his last two seasons with the Seahawks. Starting 24 games, Jefferson has recorded 59 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

In the 2019 campaign, the incoming Bills defensive end had one of the best seasons of his career, recording 3.5 sacks, 26 combined tackles, 10 quarterback hits, a fumble recovery and three pass deflections in 14 games. The 27-year-old played in 55 percent of the defensive snaps,

Jefferson also played outstanding in the 2019 playoffs, recording two sacks in the Seahawks 17-9 wild card round win over the Eagles in January. However, he broke his foot the following week against the Packers, which ultimately ended his season. Jefferson already had surgery in January and is expected to be fully healthy for the upcoming season.

Jefferson will become a valuable addition to the Bills defense this upcoming season. He'll now be teaming up with defensive lineman Vernon Butler, who was recently signed from the Carolina Panthers.

The Bills' defense played phenomenal last season and was ranked sixth in the league in total yards allowed per game (360.0).

The deal between the Bills and Quinton Jefferson won't become official until free agency begins at 4 p.m. EST Wednesday.
