A hater decided to troll Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard on the lack of milestones in his career. NBA players get a lot of hate mail every single day. They know this is par for the course of being a public figure and so responding to every single basher is a waste of time. But on this particular occasion, Lillard had a savage slap back.

The hater made a list of why he thinks Lillard is a chump. Instead of ignoring it, the six-time All-Star dropped some bars on his Twitter account.

Lillard's fans quickly replied to his fiery retort. Several were confused as to why the Trail Blazers superstar replied to the tweet. They reminded him that it's a waste of energy to answer back to clowns.

The 30-year-old Lillard, however, admitted he wanted to shut the troll up.

One fan, meanwhile, defended Lillard from the seemingly endless Stephen Curry comparisons. According to the fan, if Curry didn't have All-NBA players by his side, he would have the same stature as Lillard today.

One fan, however, expressed his disgust at the endless comparisons NBA players get. It's a pointless exercise at the end of the day and said fans should just simply appreciate greatness.

Whatever the case may be, it was comforting for fans of Damian Lillard to see haters get slapped in the face—at least virtually. It's easy to criticize NBA players. But at the end of the day, stars like Lillard are living their dream, with or without personal accolades.
