Portland Trail Blazers All-Star Damian Lillard wasn't surprised to see Carmelo Anthony's go-ahead shot fall in Tuesday night's matchup against the Toronto Raptors.

With time running out in the fourth quarter and the game tied at 99 points apiece, Anthony received a pass, dribbled his way towards the free-throw line, then rose up for his shot. After seeing the shot go in, the crowd inside Scotiabank Arena grew quiet. The Blazers bench, on the other hand, erupted in excitement:

Lillard, who finished Tuesday's game with 20 points and nine assists, later noted that he was confident in Anthony's shot, which wound up being the 17th go-ahead bucket of his career:

“We've seen it before,” the Blazers guard said of Anthony, via NBA.com. “A guy with his type of ability, it's just a matter of opportunity. He had one guy guarding him, he got to his spot and once he got to his spot and I saw him raising up, I thought it was going in.”

Anthony led all scorers in Tuesday night's game, racking up 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field (5-of-8 from beyond the arc), seven rebounds, one assist and two steals in his 36 minutes of playing time.

Lillard wasn't the only prominent player to speak out about Anthony's big shot. Lakers superstar LeBron James had a few words to say about it as well.

The Blazers will be back in action on Thursday night, when they'll face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tip-off inside the Target Center is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
