It sure seems that the Skip Bayless-Damian Lillard beef isn't going to be over anytime soon. After initially exchanging some war of words over Twitter earlier just over a week ago, the provocative host was at it again, claiming that the Bubble MVP shouldn't have been given to Lillard.
Who was Skip's Bubble MVP? It's none other than Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker.
“You carefully omitted all of Dame-Time's flame outs, all that he did not do in the bubble and you also failed to mention the guy who should have been the MVP, Devin Booker, who simply took over a much younger team than Dame's team and led it to 8-0, beating seven of eight playoff teams by a margin of victory that was 13 a game compared to Dame and company's three a game. They just basically crushed everybody they played.” Bayless said on his show Undisputed (per azcentral.com).

It's a tough debate and just looking at their seeding games numbers, one can argue that any of these two All-Stars deserve the Bubble MVP nod. Obviously, Lillard propelling the Portland Trail Blazers all the way to the post-season with his incredible numbers and highlight-worthy clutch buckets ultimately pushed him as this year's unanimous Bubble MVP.
Booker, who was selected as part of the All-Bubble First-Team, was one of the key reasons why the Suns were that hot in Orlando. He averaged 30.5 points per game in their seeding games and added six assists and 4.9 rebounds in 33.8 minutes per game. Booker's impressive numbers made him a viable candidate for Bubble MVP and for some, like Bayless, he's much more deserving given what he's been able to pull off in Orlando. Booker led the Suns to an immaculate 8-0 run in their seeding games just to fall off the playoff picture no thanks to the real Bubble MVP.
Is Skip Bayless just adding fuel to for his beef with Damian Lillard, or is he spitting facts?
