Skip Bayless throws even more shade at Blazers star Damian Lillard
Skip Bayless loves to be at the center of controversy. Most recently, he took aim at Protland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard, which seems only natural for the outspoken broadcaster given how Lillard has made headlines of late due to his tremendous play inside the Disney World bubble.
Bayless has criticized Lillard on more than one occasion of late, and most recently, he took another shot at the All-Star point guard on the mean streets of Twitter:
Imagine these Nets with KD, Best Player on the Planet, and Kyrie, who's more clutch than Damian Lillard … and with all those other players who opted out of the Bubble. Can you say Eastern Conference champions?

The controversial tweet, as expected, has garnered more than a thousand reactions and retweets (as of writing), which is likely Bayless’ objective all along. He does make a great point about a healthy Nets side going all the way to the Finals had they not been shorthanded — something that we should all be treated to once the new season kicks in — but he just had to throw Lillard into the conversation.
Damian Lillard has been nothing short of amazing for Portland since the restart. He’s led his team to an impressive run to clinch the eighth seed in the West. He has been the hottest ticket in town, and it is only natural that the critics latch on to his sharp boost in popularity. That’s typical Skip Bayless MO right there.
Lillard and company are now slated to take on the Memphis Grizzlies in a play-in mini-series to determine who gets to face the top-placed Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs. Portland has a twice-to-beat advantage, and are just one win away from officially booking their place in the postseason.
