Michael Conlan might be best known for his performance in the 2016 Rio Olympics. After losing a controversial bout to Russian fighter Vladimir Nikitin, the Irishman went on a tirade on live television. The boxer was livid and accused the judges of rigging the match, even giving them the middle finger at one point.
Conlan would be vindicated to an extent, as proof of matchfixing during the 2016 boxing event surfaced. The Irish boxer would continue to fight in more events after that.
We wish the best of luck to Michael Conlan. Hopefully, he recovers quickly and properly, as the Irish boxer has proved to be an exciting fighter, following in the footsteps of his brother Jamie Conlan.
