The 2023 Atlanta Braves have hit more home runs than any team in franchise history when they notched their 250th homer. Also, they have 30 games remaining in their season. This year's Atlanta team is one of the most potent offenses in baseball history.

If you play for this Braves team, you almost certainly hit for power to some degree. Matt Olson is second only to Shohei Ohtani on the leaderboard for home runs. Marcell Ozuna and Austin Riley each have 31 home runs, which are also in the top 10. Ronald Acuña Jr. is padding his MVP case with 29 homers, Ozzie Albies has 28 and Sean Murphy and Eddie Rosario have each tallied 20. Orlando Arcia delivered the historic blast for his 16th homer of the year. And Michael Harris II has hit 12 long balls, too.

The Braves' team-wide slugging percentage of .500 is the highest by a mile. They also lead MLB in batting average and on-base percentage, which translates to nearly six runs per game and a lead on the MLB home-run leaderboard by a whopping 42. It's no wonder they have the best record in MLB by a handful of games, especially with a pitching rotation that features numerous stars.

Braves manager Brian Snitker is, of course, loving what he's seeing from his squad. He said that this team is doing exactly what it was built to do, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com.

“We’ve been a team that slugs,” Snitker said, via MLB.com. “That’s how we’re constructed, and the guys do it.”

Most great lineups are scary because of the beasts that await at the top of the order. The Braves have that, plus other guys behind them that can send them home. Acuña's ability to swipe bases at an elite level only makes it tougher to see Albies, Riley and Olson coming up to the plate behind him.

The Braves are not a perfect team and learned last year at the hands of the Philadelphia Phillies that any underdog can shock the world. But even when their offense isn’t going full steam ahead, they can beat any team on any given day. This squad looks very likely to bring a World Series W back to the A.
