Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes has been announced the National League Cy Young Award winner.

Burnes had an impressive season as he was 11-5 on the year with a 2.43 ERA. He finished with the lowest ERA in the National League. Burnes offered one of the best strikeout-to-walk ratios that Major League Baseball has seen in a long time. He finished with 234 strikeouts and only 34 walks. He led the National League in ERA+, FIP, HR/9, and SO/9.

The Brewers had an incredible season that saw them win 95 games and win the NL Central by 5 games. They were knocked out of the playoffs by the World Series champions, Atlanta Braves.

Milwaukee has one of the best starting pitching staffs in all of baseball. The staff includes Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff, Freddy Peralta, and others. The Brewers Bullpen also has some elite arms including Josh Hader and Devin Williams.

If Milwaukee can continue to pitch as they did last year, they will have a good chance at a World Series. They need to go out and get some bats because at times they often struggled at the plate.

This is the first Cy Young of Corbin Burnes's career and from what the baseball world saw this year, we can expect him to be a candidate for the Cy Young for many years to come. The American League Cy Young was also announced as Robbie Ray won that award.
